Process Isolation procedures - Long term isolation 1
If for some reason the operation needs to be terminated for an extended period of time, but the isolation cannot be removed, the "Long Isolation" procedure needs to be followed.
The license issuer signs the name, date and time in the "Cancel" column of the license, checks the "Quarantine Certificate" column of the license under "LT ISOL", signs the signature under "Init", and notes "Long term" on the quarantine Certificate registration form. Note on the permit registration form that the permit is "cancelled".
The permit issuer must conduct a physical inspection of each long-term isolation on a weekly basis as required in the "Weekly checklist for Long-term isolation".
Process Isolation procedures - Long term isolation 2
Quarantine certificates containing long-term isolation shall be archived with the corresponding labeled PID diagram, quarantine risk assessment report (if any), and a copy of the cancelled permit.
Process isolation procedure - Isolation method
The process isolation selection table shall be used as the basis for determining the isolation method.
If the isolation required on the process isolation sheet cannot be implemented, a risk analysis must be performed to ensure that the alternative isolation provides adequate safety protection.
For the isolation of the confined space to be entered, absolute isolation method shall be adopted, i.e., removing the pipeline or inserting the blind plate.
